Sports and Remedial Massage
This course will enable you to perform proficient and effective sports massage treatments.
It is the only course in Scotland that allows you to join the Sports Massage Association.
The course includes:
Identifying injuries
Neuromuscular massage
Postural assessment
Mobilisation techniques
Stretching
Myofascial trigger point therapy
Foam rolling
Palpation techniques
Sports massage – pre, during and post event
Preventative massage treatment
The Physiology of Pain and Inflammatory Response
An in-depth study of the physiological structure and functions of the musculoskeletal System
Tailoring the treatment to benefit the individual client
Physiological response of injuries
The invaluable experience of providing treatments to external clients during the teaching days.
Entry Requirements
For the bridging course – a minimum of a level 3 qualification in Swedish massage or another suitable massage discipline. Please note, your course must be officially recognised as a minimum of a level 3.

Assessments
The qualification is assessed by continuous assessment . There will also be two practical assessments, which will be held on the teaching days and case studies to complete in your own time.
Graduates
Graduates will be given formal recognition of their work.
Upon successful completion of the course, graduates can join leading massage membership bodies as a full member. As the course is recognised, you can have your pick of membership associations.
Very uniquely, we offer lifetime graduate support. Graduates are encouraged to contact the school with any therapy or business related query they may have.
Our in-house Graphic Designer, can give you advice on the optimum way to market your business. Our designer has specialised in providing design/marketing solutions to complementary therapy companies for thirteen years.
Illness
In the unfortunate event that students fall ill during the course, we can offer a flexible learning plan whereby you can come back on to the course the next year and at no extra charge. Missed days for whatever reason can be made up at another one of our venues.
Additional Costs
